I will be taking some time off from blogging for a couple of weeks, and my etsy shop will be closed September 5 – 12. Continue reading
Thanks for stopping by today. Here’s a comfy chair for you to sit in with me by the garden window in my studio. I am working on finishing my latest hooked rug. Undoubtedly you have a project to work on, so let’s enjoy some hooking time. What project are you working on? Continue reading
My dye kitchen is getting a workout as I have created two new colors for my etsy wool offerings.
The other new color I call Tree Frog, as it reminds me of little amphibian creatures! Dirty primitive dark greens interplay with cadmium yellow. Splashy and dramatically striated. This would hook a background full of variety.
Green is undoubtedly one of my favorite colors. Have you tried green with purple and orange?
Think: olive and leafy greens
with rust and chrysanthemum
and grenadine and dusty purples!
Thanks for stopping by ~ Karen
I can truthfully say that I have wool from floor to ceiling in my studio. I love being surrounded by it all! Here is my etsy wool selection after I have just restocked colors.
Did you know that I have close to 75 primitive colors now? One of my favorite jobs is pulling wool for orders, folding it in stacks to be mailed.
I love seeing the color choices that someone else has made, and I enjoy arranging the colors in a lovely combination!
It may sound strange, but for a creative person, colorful materials is akin to companionship and love. It is the beauty that keeps us going.
Wishing you a colorful and fiber filled day ~ Karen
