Friends to the garden studio

Friends of mine usually come with a craft in hand, because they know me. I am the craft lady. My way of having fun typically includes making something. So my Washington friend Lianne brought her Star Rug Company snow family design to hook when she came to visit. Lianne loved all my lights and tried out my IKEA clip on LED light on her hooking frame. It is really bright.

Rearranging the studio for a craft day

Every now and then when the studio gets messy and I find myself gravitating to the kitchen instead of my craft room, I know it’s time to rearrange things. One thing I do to get me inspired is to plan for visitors to come over. Then I have a deadline!

I love repurposing vintage containers

My dye kitchen needed some vintage containers, since I have an old sink and reproduction faucet. I love the 50’s look and want to carry it through. So when I was looking for a container for the citric acid, I had just the container for the job.

To trash it, or not to trash it? That is the question.

I did not take a before picture and I really should have. The truth is, I really did not think that there would be an after picture for this old drafting table. I was ready to throw it into the garbage.

It takes a mountain

My formula is to take the size of your table and multiply it times 5 and that is about how much space your wool takes up no matter what sized rug you are working on. The concept of less is more does not pertain to wool.
