I love pink and brown antique quilts. I saw this quilt online and was drawn into its beauty and style. You can read more about this 1832 baby quilt here. This color combination never fails to transport me to another era. It inspired me to create a batch of new marbleized wool colors.
I just had to have some of those gentle pinks!
So I created three different light pinks and several dark browns.
Here is my wool posing as an old patchwork quilt.
I think that it is amazing how color combinations can be so evocative! That is why it is very important to me to surround myself with the colors that I love, and create with colors that are meaningful to me.
Color is part of what makes me happy.

Very lovely colors! I love to dye, as you do as well. I sometimes wonder if I enjoy the hooking or quilting more – – – or the creating colors and then dreaming of what to do with them.
