Travels on my mind
This year Ali Strebel and I will be teaching a rug hooking class called techniques. One of the things that I will be talking about is the fact that quite a few of the rugs that I create are actually punch hooked. Continue reading
In a red and aqua mood
Red looks so lovely as it relates to the color aqua. It just so happens that I have a lot of little red things that I have collected over time. Continue reading
Colorful boxes can be like treasure chests
On my recent trip home to the East Coast I took a few hours and went antiquing with my aunt Nell. Although it has been many years since I have been shopping in Madison, Connecticut, I wanted to see if the Nosey Goose was still there. My dye kitchen needed some vintage containers, since I have an old sink and reproduction faucet. I love the 50’s look and want to carry it through. So when I was looking for a container for the citric acid, I had just the container for the job. Continue reading
My dye kitchen is my favorite place to be
I am thrilled to have my dye kitchen completed! Here is my new and improved stove top area. I had my son build a counter with a bead board back splash. The stove top itself was a thrifted appliance and it was a gold color. Continue reading
